Cline Agri-Health Centre (farm) (2090 Skaha Drive, Nanaimo) is located on the last 47 acres of one of the oldest farms in Nanaimo – the Westwood Farm, which was founded in the early 1860s. It is owned by John and Joy Cline who have opened the farm up to Nanaimo Food Share (Good Food Box, Growing Opportunities, Cultivating Abilities, Everyone at The Table and several other programs), Katimavik, Youth Unlimited, and so on - in building community around good food and healing. The goal is to bring this old farm back to life using Regenerative farming practices - being part of the local agricultural food security movement. Each year we produce thousands of pounds of chemical-free, delicious blueberries that are one of the ‘super’ foods for human health. John Cline MD has moved his Integrative/Functional Medicine practice onto the farm merging the quest for human health with best agricultural practices as an Agri-Health Centre.
